With version 1.3, the manubes platform is being updated with new features in the areas of alarming, data input, data management and user administration.

manubes can now be installed as a Progressive Web App (PWA), enabling (mobile) push notifications and other app-like functionality. Using the manubes Workflow Designer, notifications can be precisely controlled and automated.

The new dropdown control allows for the selection and input of predefined options, making it easier to manage and transfer data such as order quantities, material stocks and more in a controlled manner.

In the user administration area, it is now possible to assign customized user roles, allowing permissions and displayed components to be managed more easily and tailored to individual needs.

App functionality and push notifications

manubes is now available as a Progressive Web App (PWA). PWAs are responsive, HTTPS-based web applications that offer advanced features, similar to traditional mobile and desktop applications.

Starting with version 1.3, manubes users will find an “Install” option by clicking the dropdown arrow next to their username. This allows manubes to be installed directly via the browser as a web application on any device.

The manubes Web App offers the ability to receive push notifications on both desktop and mobile devices. These notifications can be configured and automated within manubes using the Workflow Designer to notify production managers, maintenance teams or other groups about relevant events in production.

Additional new features with the manubes Web App include the option to add a quick-access app icon to the home screen, taskbar, or start menu, as well as the ability to launch the manubes Web App automatically on device start-up.

The new dropdown control provides manubes users with an additional way to configure input fields, making it even easier to capture and manage relevant production data in a more targeted manner.

The displayed option in the dropdown menu and the underlying value can be configured separately. This allows for use cases such as batches that are linked with quantity details. As usual, values can be retrieved from existing data models.

With interactive elements such as forms and input fields, manubes enables various production teams to capture data on the go and manage production processes from anywhere.

User roles

Starting with version 1.3, manubes offers the ability to configure custom roles and assign existing roles to users.

User roles allow precise control over access to specific stages, functions, and system components. Additionally, they can determine which interface elements are displayed in a user’s environment within manubes.

This new feature simplifies the process of granting permissions to specific user groups while allowing highly customized settings. For example, if only a dashboard needs to be displayed, navigation elements and functions such as the AI Assistant can be hidden — ideal for presentations, among other uses.
